About Tales & Trials

Tales & Trials is a survival party card game for 1–8 players. Players draft cards, spin tales, and face unique challenges as they compete to out-story and out-survive each other in a fantasy world gone sideways.

With a 30–60 minute play time and a minimum age of 14+, it's designed to be accessible but deep enough to reward replay. The draft mechanics ensure no two games play the same way.

My Role

I founded Tales & Trials from scratch — solo idea to Kickstarter to shipped product. I wore every hat: designer, producer, writer, marketer, and public affairs lead. When the campaign found real backers, I scaled the project into a full team and saw it through to fulfillment.

This project taught me everything about running a creative venture end-to-end: building an audience, communicating risk, managing expectations with backers, and coordinating with a manufacturer under real deadlines.
